Special Centralities from Provost John Barthell
Re: NCUR 2018 Volunteers

Dear Central Community,

The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) will be here soon, April 4-7, and we need volunteers. We will have more than 4,000 people from 454 colleges and universities from all 50 states, Washington DC and Puerto Rico, as well as participants from 13 countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia. More than 460 of you have registered for the conference and 368 presentations from UCO alone have been approved for the conference. Thank you for participating in this very important event in our campus history.

For those of you not yet involved, please consider volunteering for NCUR 2018. Anyone interested (including current and former employees as well as other members of the community) are eligible to do so. Students may receive STLR credit for volunteering in the areas of Service Learning and Civic Engagement. All volunteers receive a free T-shirt and meals.

Please see the volunteer website that is coordinated by Sharra Hynes, Ph.D., chair of the NCUR Volunteer Committee. Thank you for your support and I look forward to seeing you all at NCUR 2018.

John Barthell
Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
