Kudos — Bryan Duke, Ph.D., recently received the Jane Morse Service Award from the Oklahoma Association of Colleges for Teacher Education. He is director of Educator Preparation and assistant dean of the College of Education and Professional Studies. The award honors those who have made significant contributions in the field of education and provided outstanding leadership and service.

Special System Maintenance, June 17

The Office of Information Technology will perform system maintenance from 5 a.m.-noon Sunday, June 17.

During this time, UCONNECT, Banner and other UCO systems will be unavailable.

Annual Employee Exceptional Performance Award Nominations

Human Resources is currently accepting applications for the Annual Employee Exceptional Performance Award. This award is presented by the president at Fall Forum in August and includes a $1,250 stipend. 

In response to employee feedback, this award is no longer restricted from staff at the director level or above. All staff employees who have a minimum of six months of continuous employment are eligible. Nomination forms are due by 5 p.m. Friday, July 6, and may be submitted to Mary Deter-Billings.

Chambers Library Broadcasting World Cup Games

Through the duration of the 2018 World Cup, Chambers Library will live broadcast games that occur during library hours. Games will be shown on the big screen in The Max Room on the fourth floor of Chambers Library. 

Library summer hours are:

  • 7:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday;
  • 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday;
  • 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday; and,
  • Noon-9 p.m. Sunday.

All are welcome to watch as world teams compete for the coveted cup.
