The submission with the most "likes" will win a $50 gift card to the UCO Bookstore.

Bidlack, Merlot Award

MERLOT AWARD — UCO Professor of Biology Jim Bidlack, Ph.D., left, recently received the Merlot House Cup from the Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT). D2L Training, Weekend/Evening Classes

The Technology Resource Center has added an evening and weekend session of D2L Fundamentals to the training schedule for full-time and adjunct faculty.  

Sessions will be in Room 101A, Lillard, at the following times:
  • Thursday, Aug. 16, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Aug. 18, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

'Pocahontas' Star to Kick Off Series

Judy Kuhn
UCO's Broadway Tonight Series will kick off its 15th season with Tony Award-nominee Judy Kuhn and the Young Voices of Edmond at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 24-25 at Mitchell Hall Theater.

Kuhn received worldwide recognition as the voice of Walt Disney's Pocahontas.

Fraternities, Sororities Bring Home Awards

Turn of the Century Campus Photos on Display, Aug. 14

The UCO Archives Photography Collection, featuring images of life on the Central campus at the turn of the century, will be on display Aug. 14-Sept. 10 in the Donna Nigh Gallery Exhibit, third floor of the Nigh University Center.  Nice opportunity — view the photos before and after the Fall Forum on Tuesday, Aug. 14.

'Golden Key Honour Society' Receives PR Award

UCO's chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society was awarded the “PR Stars Award” for Region 7 at the organization's recent International Summit in Atlanta.

The recognition is based on promotion of chapter activities through Facebook, Twitter, newsletters, press releases, emails, websites, and on and off-campus advertisement.

UCO chapter president is Sarah Mashburn. Newsletter editor and public relations director is  Mark Smith, and chapter adviser is Marco Rodriguez, coordinator of UCO's Global Program Development.
